LIMQG UFO CHALLENGE

• At this meeting we will be registering more projects for the LIMGQ UFO CHALLENGE.  So dig through your unfinished projects and bring them into the meeting to show & share and then register them for the challenge. We have quite a few quilt projects registered already.

2108 LIMQG UFO CHALLENGE

We kicked off our March Meeting with entries for our 2018 UFO Challenge!  Wow!  Our members have lots of UFO's!  This challenge will encourage members to finish their projects by June so that they will be entered into a raffle for some great prizes.

Member Spotlight:

English Paper Piecing with Janet

We did a little hand sewing with Janet. She demonstrated her technique of EPP with 1" paper hexagons.  She took 2 1/2" pieces of fabric and glued the fabric to 7 paper hexagons.  Then she sewed the hexagons together in a flower pattern.  Janet had a few suggestions on how to hand sew them together such as whip stitch or  ladder stitch.

About Sheri:

Sheri is a designer, maker and self-taught modern quilter from New Haven, Connecticut.  She specializes in the design of custom modern quilts and patterns.  She founded Whole Circle Studio LLC in 2015 and since then she has published several quilt patterns, won awards at QuiltCon & Quilt Week Paducah  Her quilts have been featured at art centers and galleries across the country.

We are looking forward to meeting Sheri in person and listening to her lecture and seeing her wonderful quilts.
