About

Founded in October of 2013, The Long Island Modern Quilt Guild is a young and growing guild. We welcome new members of all levels, whether you are experienced, a newbie or just quilting-curious. Our guild meets monthly to explore what it means to be modern, share our latest work, inspire each other, learn from interesting speakers, sew together and give back to the community.

Wondering if you're modern enough for the Modern Quilt Guild?

Don't worry! All are welcome! The Long Island Modern Quilt Guild is not about judging, it's about exploring this new and growing movement.

We meet once a month, September through June, at the Art League of Long Island in Dix Hills, NY. Meetings are held the third Wednesday of each month from 7:30-9:30PM.

Yearly dues are $55 (Sept-Aug). This includes our monthly meetings, speaker sessions, as well as events. We also welcome new members at any time and will prorate dues based on when members join. You can also "try" us out before committing! All we ask is that anyone visiting pays $10/meeting/$15 for speaker meetings. Third meeting is when we ask you to join.

Full membership benefits include:
- Monthly guild meetings
- Guild activities including challenges, swaps, and exchanges
- Members-only retreats and sew-ins
- Private speaker engagements
- Hands on workshops

For more information, please send us a message at contactLIMQG@gmail.com or join us for one of our meetings! We're also on Instagram and Facebook @LIMQG.
