Long Island Modern Quilt Guild
UFO Challenge
At our March 2018 meeting we
will be introducing our Spring 2018 UFO Member Challenge. So go home and go through those unfinished
projects!!
Here are the details/rules/fine
print:
• Beginning with
the March 2018 regular meeting you may register as many UFO projects as you
would like. To qualify the project must
need at least binding and a label.
• There will be
a $2 fee for each UFO registered. All
registration fees will be used to fund prizes for the UFO Challenge.
• Please bring
your UFO project to the meeting when registering to be photographed.
• To register
your project(s) please complete a project card and pay the fee per
project. The UFO Challenge Coordinator
will add your name and project to the master list and maintain your project
card on file.
• When you
finish (finish means all quilting and binding is complete) bring your project
to the monthly meeting and inform the Coordinator that your project is
complete. It will be logged on the
master list and your card will be marked complete and retained for the prize
drawing at the June meeting. You must
show your project during show and share at the monthly meeting.
• Completed
UFO’s registered using the orphan block from our February meeting will qualify
for two raffle entries. If you were not
present at the February meeting, we will provide you with a choice of the
remaining orphan blocks if you would like to participate.
• There are no
minimum project sizes for this challenge but projects are limited to those that
are quilted (quilts, bags, totes, placemats (a set is considered one project),
etal).
• You can
register projects up until the May 2018 meeting.
• The drawing
for prizes will occur at the end of the year meeting held in June.
Any questions please do not
hesitate to ask. The Challenge
Coordinator is Amy Abrie and can be reached via email at aabrie@gmail.com.
