FEBRUARY Meeting Recap

We started off the meeting with Show and Share:
Maureen has been very busy with Tula Pink's 100 block challenge.  She plans on quilting each long section, one at a time.  When quilting is complete, she will join the three sections together.  A "quilt-as-you-go" project. Looking forward to seeing this quilt finished!

Here a few other Show and Shares:

Amy's Purl Soho quilt with Liberty fabrics.

Mario e-quilter blocks; paper and fabric versions

After several rounds of adding 10", 8", 6" then a final 4" borders the challenge Medallion quilts were revealed.  They are amazing!  The creativity and originality that went into the design of these borders was fantastic.  We have a very talented group of quilters!  If you would like to see what the original block looked like check out June 2016 blog by clicking here:  Medallion Blocks

 MARIO AND Electric Quilt 7

Mario was kind enough to demonstrate Electric Quilt 7 (EQ7) quilt design software program. This program is used to design blocks, borders, sashings and quilts.  It contains lots of tools for you to become a successful designer.  The EQ7 contains libraries filled with fabrics that you can use to create blocks and quilts using currnt fabric to give you and idea of what the block will actually look like when sewn together. The possibilities are endless.  Check out the EQ7 website for more info: and this blog:
